With the Commanders' top target injured, Samuel's dynamism is carrying the passing game. Once McLaurin returns, Washington’s foes will contend with two No. 1s.
1. Giants look so much more formidable with Andrew Thomas, Jaxson Dart and Cam Skattebo; they complement each other well and the latter two didn't seem like rookies (the way Daniels didn't last season)
2. Hope "Eglses" struggles continue; with losses to both the Packers and Falcons, Washington's playoff path could be easier if it finds a way to win the NFC East. A win over Bears puts Washington in NFC East lead, with a need (at least for now) to split the series with Philly as '25 turns to '26
3. As strong as Dart's performance was, Skattebo seems to take a formidable lead for week 6 Rookie of the Week honors; Bill, Lane, Amos or Conerly Jr. would have to have a "next level" monster performance to contend
4. The Giants at Eagles rematch in a fortnight and two days looks enticing; I'll be watching that.
5. Someone seemed to be dismissing the "existence" of momentum, but like Washington after Quan's hit that forced a fumble, the Giants team -- including defensive unit-- seemed to be feeding off the energy Dart and Skattebo provided. Wish there was a way to measure momentum
Ben brings it strong to player profiles, and strikes another one here with Deebo. Love Deebo's focus, determination, speed and physicality - our kind of player; obvious to see why Peters sought Deebo out.
I'm curious as to how much Deebo identifies with South Carolina compared to other locations? Could Deebo stay in the DMV or does he want to return to South Carolina once his playing days are over?
Interesting that two newcomers that really exemplify the team's "way" both have some South Carolina roots -- Deebo and Javon Kinlaw, a.k.a. J.K., the latter having spent three years in college there. Those Gamecocks are top notch.
Glad that Deebo has engaged in the DMV to inspire and motivate youth. That's a quality component and another side of the key offensive playmaker. I've also found it neat that Deebo's pre-school son gets to watch his father play. Seeing Deebo's connection to youth in a number of ways is awesome. Kinlaw seems to enjoy being a father too and I believe has two kids.
Loved the Richard Sherman quote: "He’s built like a bowling ball, and he plays like that."
I realize that Deebo is Tyshun Raequon's nickname, but being unfamiliar with the film Friday or the character in it, Samuel certainly embodies the assertiveness of a bowling ball heading toward pins and he is my "Lethal Kingpin," which would be my nickname for Deebo otherwise.
If Terry hadn't signed an extension, it's obvious that Deebo would be better positioned for a mega contract for next season. That's a lot of money for 2 WRs (and frustrating when Terry is unable to contribute) but at this juncture, I've got no desire to let Deebo, who turns 30 in January, hit free agency. I wonder what it would take to re-sign Deebo? Could a salary around franchise tag amount of ~$28.1 million be worked out?
I don't think Dotson lack of physicality and limitations in creating separation alone led to the trade; I think Quinn / Kingsbury wants WRs to contribute in a variety of ways and embody a certain style of play, and Dotson wasn't cutting it along any of those other fronts.
With ALL the receivers after McLaurin being disappointments, we all great appreciate Deebo.
In addition to Paul Richardson, Curtis Samuel, Jahan Dotson, Stephen Sims and Dyami Brown, another disappointment during this era is Antonio Gandy-Golden.
Olamide Zaccheaus was the most favorable recent FA WR acquisition, but he stayed only one season; Washington now faces him on Monday night. Noah Brown was great cut-down day acquisition; his challenge is to remain healthy enough to consistently contribute.
Like Cosmi, I have kept to a single phone; that helps me maintain a work - life balance.
How prevalent is it to have three phones? Is it done to dedicate one each to business, family and social and / or as part of a plan related to privacy, security and / or emergency planning?
Just some quick NFC East and "momentum" notes:

Intangibles are a big deal in the NFL and evaluators ignore them at their peril.

Too many Samuel. At one point, it read "Carolina" when I think you meant "San Francisco."

An eye opening read for me. Good job Ben.
The part in this article that made me say WOW out loud, “All-time WR Production Since McLaurin’s Arrival (2019–Present)” & follow-on stats.
Even given my trepidation during McLaurin’s hold out - huge props to him & look forward to when he’s healthy & playing at this level again.
Nicely done, Ben.

This season, Deebo ranks in total YAC behind Christian McCaffrey, Bijan Robinson, Bucky Irving, Puka Nacua, De'Von Achane, DK Metcalf, Khalil Shakir, Ja'Marr Chase and Zay Flowers.
Deebo is much further down the list on YAC per reception and is even behind Terry in that category.
Now here's a feature! Thank you Ben.

Harkening back to 2019, it's great to reflect on what a find Terry McLaurin was, and not so great to reflect on how Paul Richardson was not one.
