Jayden Daniels exits Commanders' Sunday night massacre with apparent arm injury
LANDOVER, Md. — This time, add injury to insult.
Star quarterback Jayden Daniels, the Washington Commanders, sun, moon and stars, suffered an apparent significant left arm/elbow injury in the fourth quarter of a 38-14 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
With Washington trailing 38-7 and the ball at Seattle’s two-yard line with 7:39 remaining, Daniels took off from the pocket running right. Linebacker Drake Thomas corralled Daniels shy of the end zone and spun the quarterback to the ground. Daniels attempted to brace the fall with his left, non-throwing arm, but his elbow appeared to suffer a dislocation.
Daniels remained on the ground for several minutes as teammates huddled around him. He eventually walked off the field to the locker room with his arm in a brace.
Why Daniels remained in the game will be the question following the game, far more than Seahawks QB Sam Darnold throwing four touchdown passes with ease in the first half. Right now, with the face of the franchise injured for the third time in his last five games, football follies mean little to Washington’s franchise, whose future is suddenly upended.

Last season, Washington had winning streaks of 3, 4 and 5 straight games; this season, they've not won back-to-back games. Last season, Washington had one 3 game losing streak; currently, Washington is on a four game losing streak.
The losses to Falcons and Bears already told you that Washington had regressed compared to last season, as both resulted in victories last season. Team was officially cooked shortly thereafter, getting doubled by Dallas, 44-22.
The team has needed to try to trade players they have no intention on bringing back for 2026 season.
This team wasn't ready for the start of the season, and we're now more than half way through the season, and they look even more lost and unprepared. Wasn't expecting this after the regime's success in year one.
I heard again the report that Peters offered Mike Macdonald the head coaching job, but Seattle made a significantly larger bid for Macdonald, which he accepted. Have you heard / confirmed this as well Ben?
