ASHBURN, Va. — From the perch of running back coach Anthony Lynn, OTA sessions are defined by the three A’s.

“Alignments, assignments and adjustments.”

Each is about homework and repetition as much as any drill. In other words, “you don’t have to be on the field to do that work,” Lynn said.

The subtext: Jacory Croskey-Merritt has yet to participate in on-field sessions during the Washington Commanders’ three-week OTA program.

The soft-tissue injury has kept “Bill” off the practice field. It hasn’t kept Washington from envisioning a bigger role.
